Large planar driver: Aether has the largest planar IEM driver ever created. With a 15.3mm diaphragm and extremely strong multi-layered N52 neodymium magnets, Aether's drivers produce truly headphone-like sound. Compared to the 12mm or 14mm diaphragms found in typical planar drive IEMs, Aether's 15mm drivers deliver more output with lower distortion, significantly improving audio quality.
Speaker-like sound: Aether's large drivers not only improve resolution, but also provide a wider and more accurate soundstage and localization. With a new chamber design and improved ventilation within the driver and shell, we aimed to recreate the listening experience of open-back headphones or stereo sound systems. Plus, with the airy texture typical of planar magnetic drivers, Aether delivers an open and lively sound.
Sound Consistency: Sound consistency was an important factor in the design of Aether. Staying true to Kiwi Ears' signature tonal balance, Aether has been meticulously engineered to deliver a natural, precise sound. The bass has a strong subwoofer-like impact, and the transition from midbass to midrange is gentle, adding a slight warmth to the sound. The core midrange from 300Hz to 800Hz is tuned flat, bringing monitor-like precision to instruments and vocals. The treble has been carefully tuned to carefully match the human ear's sense of tone, providing a clear yet natural high frequency response
