The paint does not move at all, my daughter takes a bath every day with these earrings. The clasp of course holds the curls very well which is great knowing that my daughter spends all the time pulling on them... I didn't want to ruin myself buying gold anymore because she always loses these curls. Very good purchase if you don't want to spend a lot of money and change regularly! (In the photos there are a lot of pairs missing because I gave some to a few people.
